In my minds eye I see your blue eyes beckon.
Your genuine smile flashes across your face.
For me you accept my foibles.
For our daughter you accept it all.
You work so hard and give so much.
Seldom do you think of yourself, often you only think of others.
This can be a gift and sometimes a curse.
But you feel honestly which is real.
So strong you are yet so very human too.
You and I met and for that we are lucky.
I have the ability to accent your life.
To help you reach higher.
As you have done for me.
Together we will reach new places that just one of us would never have seen.
We have some hard years ahead, dealing with the old homesteads.
With honor, honesty and love we will prevail.
And have lots of stories to tell around our family table.
